Battle before Cape Girardeau, Mo. April 26, 1863: Series One Volume 22 p. 304, Report of Asst. Surgeon Harris of Jefferson Mo. Cavalry. I was not able to visit the battlefield, but the best information I could obtain there were only three killed on the battlefield, the names not learned; they were buried by friends.
